Bay Area Benefits from State Transportation Funding
Legislation (SB1) the Bay Area Council worked hard to pass in 2017 will provide $400 million for 11 transportation projects across the region. The California Transportation Commission this week approved the Bay Area funding, which accounts for about 20% of the total $2 billion awarded statewide. This is the third round of SB1 funding for the Bay Area and the money will be leveraged with other sources to advance key highway, transit and goods movement projects in all nine counties.
