Council Hosts Southeast Asian Ambassadors

On June 21 the Bay Area Council hosted four U.S. Ambassadors to the ASEAN region (Southeast Asia) for a discussion of regional economic developments and opportunities for U.S. business. Ambassador Johannes Abraham (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), Ambassador Brian McFeeters (Malaysia), Ambassador MaryKay Carlson (Philippines), and Ambassador Marc Knapper (Vietnam) addressed trade and investment opportunities, changes to global supply chains, and the role of the United States in Asia, and connected with Council members on questions regarding individual countries and their markets. The visit was organized in partnership with the US-ASEAN Business Council. The Council regularly hosts foreign delegations, dignitaries and business leaders to learn about expanding trade, investment and other economic opportunities.
