MUFG Union Bank Grant Supports Council’s Workforce of the Future Initiative

The Bay Area Council’s Workforce of the Future Initiative has been awarded a $75,000 grant from the MUFG Union Bank Community Recovery Program, a $10 million initiative supporting nonprofit organizations that are dedicated to social and economic justice within communities of color. The Council’s Workforce of the Future Initiative will continue and expand its efforts to strengthen career pathways for communities of color and low-income residents throughout the Bay Area by scaling up training and hiring initiatives that lead to better-paid roles.

As the economy begins a recovery from the impacts of COVID-19, rebuilding the workforce, especially for those most adversely impacted by its effects, will be paramount to an equitable recovery for all who call the Bay Area home. The Council is deeply grateful for the support of MUFG Union Bank. To participate in the Council’s Workforce of the Future Initiative, please contact Policy Manager Henry Bartholomay.
