Council Mourns Passing of Dr. Alma Salazar

The Bay Area Council extends its condolences to our advocacy partners UniteLA over the passing of Dr. Alma Salazar. Alma was a leader in the LA Chamber of Commerce’s and subsequently UniteLA’s work on Children and Families, Education and Workforce Development and was a constant ally of the Bay Area Council in our efforts to advance the cause of children and to build a more equitable workforce. She lost her fight with cancer this week but the children, students and workforce of our state are much better off as a result of her many wins. Her commitment, impact and vision for a more equitable California live on.
