announcing 2019 pacific summit with gov. gavin newsom
Mark your calendar for one of the Bay Area Council’s most anticipated and thought-provoking events of the year. The 2019 Pacific Summit will be held on Friday, June 21 from 8:30am – 1:15pm at the stunning Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco.
We’re extremely pleased to announce that Governor Gavin Newsom will be among our illustrious speakers, and we’re working on a number of other great ones that we’ll be announcing shortly. The Governor will be joined by business and government leaders from countries around the Pacific Rim – including Canada, Mexico, China, Japan and Korea – to share their thinking on solutions to our biggest challenges and most pressing issues. In what some have called “The Century of the Pacific,” California’s relationship with its top trading partners specifically on trade, artificial intelligence, climate change, transportation and healthcare will have global impact.
The summit will feature a series of short, engaging talks by leading thinkers and doers coupled with roundtable group discussions on these topics that will help shape and deepen California’s relationship with our trading partners. It is designed to spur dialogue and promote new ideas and solutions as we examine the current political, economic and business trends that are shaping the world.
