**THIS JUST IN** Fresh from appearances at Davos and the Milken Global Conference, Argentina’s new President, Javier Milei, will offer the closing talk at the Bay Area Council’s 2024 Pacific Summit presented by Sutter Health. The Council is honored to welcome President Milei for this appearance in San Jose on May 30th, his only public address during his visit to the Bay Area. An economist who has made his mark as a champion of free enterprise, we’re expecting President Milei to share his insights on the important connections between Argentina and the Bay Area’s technology and innovation industries.

We’re also excited that Rep. Anna Eshoo will join us to accept our deepest thanks for her years of amazing service to our region and our country, talk about her incredible career, and provide her outlook for Silicon Valley as Congress eyes a growing role in regulating the tech economy. And, of course, hear her thoughts on the current chaotic state of politics in Washington DC, leading into what promises to be one of the most consequential Presidential elections in US history.

If that isn’t enough to stir you, we’re San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan will join us to share his bold vision for achieving net zero energy for his city while shaping it into a leading global AI hub. Great things are happening in San Jose and the strategy Mahan has outlined aims to further elevate this great city. And we’ll showcase panels of top experts on both of those subjects.
