Opportunities to Engage in the Council’s Apprenticeship Work

Expanding apprenticeship opportunities has long been an important priority for the Bay Area Council, which helped found the Northern California Apprentice Network (NCAN). Apprenticeships offer a valuable way to create new career opportunities and meet the needs of our economy and employers. Interest and momentum in apprenticeships is only growing, with Gov. Newsom prioritizing apprenticeships as part of his economic agenda and President Trump recently signing an Executive Order calling for 1 million new apprenticeships. And the Council recently joined a delegation to Switzerland to learn about strategies for scaling our region’s apprenticeship opportunities.
We invite you to engage with the Council in this work and are pleased to share these opportunities to get involved:
- September 16 2:30 pm NCAN quarterly in person Meeting – The Klamath, SF
- October 7-9 Advancing Apprenticeship Summit – Riverside, CA
- Rolling call for participation – ROI of Apprenticeship Study: The Bay Area Council Economic Institute is leading a ROI study and opening our interviews to those with experience leading apprenticeships. Email your interest & availability
- Rolling call for presenters – Have an apprenticeship success story, case study or program you’re proud of? We’re always assessing future NCAN event presenters. Share your idea with us.
