The Bay Area Council under our Workforce of the Future Committee is thrilled to announce a new partnership with the LAUNCH Apprenticeship Network focused on expanding apprenticeship programs across Northern California. LAUNCH has tapped the Council to lead employer engagement for this effort. LAUNCH stands for Local Apprenticeships Uniting a Network of Colleges and High Schools. The partnership aligns with our work as a founding member of the Northern California Apprentice Network (NCAN).

LAUNCH, as the leading apprenticeship intermediary in California, works in partnership with the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office with a mission focused on empowering community colleges to lead, expand, and elevate registered apprenticeship programs, building a stronger, more equitable, and better-prepared workforce for the state.

Together, LAUNCH and the Council, in partnership with NCAN, have audacious goals for the first half of 2026 that we’ll tap our membership to be actively involved in. Stay tuned for an exciting event with state leaders during National Apprenticeship Week in late April. To engage in our Workforce of the Future initiative, please contact Vice President of Public Policy Kelly Cure
