Patrick Kallerman is Vice President of Public Policy for the Bay Area Council, where he leads the Council’s work on health policy and innovative wood products. For over a decade, Patrick led research at the Bay Area Council’s Economic Institute, where he wrote on health policy, the labor market, and more. Past projects include estimating the economic impact of the Affordable Care Act in California, an examination of high-tech employment and wages in the United States, and an evaluation of California’s Paid Family Leave Program. Patrick’s work has appeared in outlets such as Bloomberg, Fast Company, and The Wall Street Journal. Previously Patrick was Policy Director at Healthy Systems Project – a boutique health policy consulting firm – and before that a Management Consultant with Accenture. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from California State University Long Beach. Patrick takes every possible opportunity to explore California’s natural wonders — usually with fly rod in hand — and proudly supports a variety of conservation causes.
