The Bay Area Council is very proud to support a bold community project led by the San Francisco Giants and the Giants Community Fund, in partnership with the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department. They are leading a major revitalization of the Crocker Amazon Baseball and Softball Fields—transforming one of San Francisco’s most active sports complexes into a modern, year-round community destination.

The project will create six renovated fields with upgraded lighting, fences, dugouts, scoreboards, and seating. Five will feature state-of-the-art synthetic turf—two full-size baseball diamonds that can also host high school competition and cricket, and three designed for youth baseball and softball—while one natural grass field will remain for traditional play and flexible community use. Additional features include a three-tunnel covered batting cage for year-round practice, a new restroom facility, expanded parking (increasing capacity by more than 50%), accessible pathways and seating for seniors, outdoor fitness stations, and both small and large dog parks alongside enhancements to the existing La Grande Dog Park.
