The Bay Area Council was proud to host the National Talent Collaborative (NTC) for the group’s 8th convening on September 25-26 in downtown San Francisco. More than 50 regional leaders from across the country gathered to share progress and challenges from their regions and take back innovative practices and connections to accelerate their work.

NTC’s network of regional, business-led coalitions is committed to driving economic prosperity, workforce development, and inclusive opportunity across the country. The convening brought together leaders from 23 regional organizations working to address critical workforce challenges in their communities.

The gathering featured insightful discussions with leading voices in AI and workforce development. Attendees heard from Marisa Moret of OpenAI, Ashley Zlatinov and Shad Ahmed of Anthropic, Arthur Valentine, CEO of Pearson, and Stephen Moret, CEO of Strada Education Foundation, who shared their perspectives on the future of work, technology’s role in workforce transformation, and innovative approaches to skills development.

Regional leaders engaged in productive conversations about effective strategies for building talent pipelines, closing skills gaps, and creating inclusive pathways to economic opportunity. The exchange of ideas and best practices across different regions reinforced the power of collaboration in addressing shared workforce challenges.

Thank you to Pearson and BuildWithin for sponsoring this convening, and to Autodesk for hosting the evening reception at the inspiring Autodesk Gallery.
