Replay: UC President Michael Drake in Conversation with Council CEO Jim Wunderman
New University of California President Michael V. Drake, MD joined Bay Area Council CEO Jim Wunderman this week (Nov. 12) to share his vision for the state’s “crown jewel” of higher education. The virtual conversation was the latest in the Council’s Bay Area Impact webinar series. Drake, a physician who previously led The Ohio State University and the University of California, Irvine, is the first Black president of the 152-year-old public university. Drake talked about some of challenges confronting the system in the middle of the COVID pandemic, the importance of UC to California’s economy and opportunities for increased partnership with the business community.
