PG&E CEO Patti Poppe in a commentary this week in the Mercury News highlights the utility’s four-year plan to invest billions of dollars to maintain and improve its energy system and how changes the California Public Utilities Commission is seeking to the plan “would gut our long-term undergrounding program that would permanently reduce wildfire risk and cut funding for some critical gas-safety programs.”
