Council Hosts Major AI Delegation from the UAE

The Bay Area has long been a fountainhead of technological discovery and entrepreneurial dynamism, drawing leaders from around the globe who want to understand and tap into the secret sauce of our innovation economy. And the Bay Area Council has long been the organization that these leaders turn to for help in making contacts and gaining insights into the companies, people and ecosystem that power our economy.

So we were pleased to partner with the US-UAE Business Council when they brought a delegation of 50 Chief AI Officers from the United Arab Emirates to the Bay Area on Sept. 17 to engage our AI community and explore future partnerships. Led by H.E. Mohamed Bintaliah, the UAE’s Chief of Government Services, and H.E. Dr. Alkuwaiti, head of the UAE’s Cybersecurity Council, the group was welcomed by the Bay Area Council Economic Institute’s Senior Director Dr. Sean Randolph. The delegation’s visit reflects the Bay Area’s global leadership in the field of artificial intelligence, the growing importance of the UAE and Gulf countries in the global economy, and the Council’s commitment to expanding partnerships in the region.
