Celebrating 200 Years of U.S.-Mexico Relations

For his work on advancing deeper economic ties between the Bay Area, California and Mexico, Bay Area Council Economic Institute Senior Director Sean Randolph this week was honored with the Binational Tech Cooperation Award. The award was presented by Mexico Consul General Maria Remedios Gomez Arnau at an event celebrating the 200th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mexico and the United States.

A report Randolph authored last year–Southern Connection: Innovation Clusters in Mexico and the Bridge to Silicon Valley— documented the growing level of technology, innovation and start-up activity in Mexico and the opportunity that presents, and has served as a powerful vehicle identifying new opportunities for business and investment in Mexico based on proximity, the US-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement, and the strategic realignment of global supply chains. Congratulations, Sean!
