Bay Area Council Supports Biotech Companies in Xiamen Exploring Expansion to California

The Bay Area Council last week announced the launch of a pilot program to connect biotech companies in Xiamen, China, with opportunities to expand into California—one of the world’s leading hubs for life sciences and innovation. The program, in partnership with the newly established Xiamen Meijing Consulting Company, will provide consulting and strategic guidance to help companies explore international expansion, evaluate market feasibility, and prepare for entry into California’s thriving biotech ecosystem.

The initiative will begin with feasibility consulting services and later expand to include regulatory navigation, business development, and partnership opportunities with Bay Area Council member companies. By leveraging its extensive network of industry leaders, investors, and policymakers, the Bay Area Council aims to make California a landing pad for innovative Xiamen-based biotech firms.

By building bridges between Xiamen and California, the Bay Area Council is strengthening global collaboration in life sciences and creating new opportunities for cross-border innovation.
