Council Welcomes Speaker Rivas for Discussion on Key Issues

New Speaker of the California State Assembly, Robert Rivas, today met with members of the Bay Area Council Executive Committee and Board of Directors this afternoon aboard the Klamath to discuss the Council’s policy priorities. Council CEO Jim Wunderman welcomed Rivas and helped facilitate a substantive discussion. We had strong alignment on crime and safety issues, particularly on rampant retail theft, and we found areas of mutual interest, including on housing and business climate and taxes, among others.
