Lt. Gov. Kounalakis Joins the Council in Welcoming Columbian President

On Wednesday (May 8), Bay Area Council members joined Lt. Governor Eleni Kounalakis and Council CEO Jim Wunderman in hosting a small dinner with Colombian President Ivan Duque and First Lady Maria Juliana Ruiz.  The President and his top advisors – the Colombian Ambassador, the Minister of Commerce, Industry & Tourism, and the Innovation and Digital Transformation Advisor – were in the Bay Area to talk about Colombia’s Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which opened in Medellin last week. Council members including Visa, Dolby, IBM, Sandia, Autodesk, Stripe, PwC, Coursera and AC Transit shared thoughts about digital transformation, entrepreneurship, online learning, and Colombia and Latin America’s economic potential
