CA-CHINA TRADE OFFICE CONCLUDES HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL INVESTMENT TOUR

The California-China Office of Trade of and Investment (CTO) this week (May 25) wrapped up a highly productive two-week investment promotion tour through China that was organized by the U.S. Commercial Service in China and SelectUSA from Washington D.C. The trip spanned nine cities, including Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Dalian, Anshan and Shenyang, where the CTO under the leadership of Executive Director Ken Petrilla met with potential investors to promote the State of California and help local governments and companies better understand doing business in California.

The program afforded numerous opportunities to connect with eager and passionate investors wanting to invest in California and the United States. Many potential investors have the necessary capital to invest but are lacking the appropriate knowledge about doing business here. Many of the investors were interested in real estate projects, but there were a number of companies interested in a wide array of other industries such as food safety, high-tech, clean tech, bio tech and alternative energy. The focus now turns to following up the many good leads developed during the tour.
