Business Leaders Gain New Immigration Workforce Resource
The Bay Area Council Economic Institute is partnering with UNITE-LA to help employers understand and respond to the economic and workforce implications of changing immigration policies. The partnership builds on the Economic Institute’s research on the economic impacts of immigration enforcement in California and the Bay Area and supports the development and rollout of practical, data-driven resources for business leaders.
As part of this work, UNITE-LA has launched a new Business Leaders Resource Hub, a centralized online resource featuring employer guidance, legal and compliance information, workforce data, policy updates, and opportunities for business engagement. The hub features Economic Institute research on the impacts of mass deportation policies and immigration enforcement, helping employers understand the stakes for businesses, workers, consumers, and regional competitiveness.
The broader partnership is intended to equip business leaders with credible economic information, strengthen a shared workforce-focused narrative, and create opportunities for employers and business organizations across California to engage on policies affecting immigrant workers and entrepreneurs.
Immigrant workers and entrepreneurs make vital contributions across California’s industries, supply chains, and small businesses. Ensuring employers have access to timely, reliable information and practical resources supports workforce stability, economic growth, and the state’s long-term competitiveness.
