As part of our recent China trade mission, the Bay Area Council participated in the 21st China Hi-Tech Fair with over 3,000 exhibitors from around the globe displaying more than 10,000 high-tech projects and technologies. The theme “Invigorating the Greater Bay Area through Opening-up and Innovation” was highlighted in remarks Bay Area Council China Initiative Vice President Jennifer Zou gave. Attendees also heard from Wang Weizhong, Vice Party Secretary of Guangdong Province and Party Secretary of Shenzhen City, and Ren Hongbin from the Ministry of Commerce of China (MOFCOM). Ding Zhongli, Vice Chairman of the National People’s Congress, announced the opening of the fair. Participating in these important events is part of the Council’s continuing work to expand connections with burgeoning innovation ecosystems around the world.
