Amari Cowan is a Policy Associate for the Bay Area Council, focusing on the Workforce of the Future initiative, gender equity and diversity issues and transportation initiatives. She is interested in the development of equitable communities and workforces and increased collaboration between members of the public and policy makers. Prior to joining the Bay Area Council, Amari studied International Studies with a concentration in International Relations at Centre College in Kentucky. She has worked as an Finance Intern for the Kentucky Democratic Party, a Legal Research Assistant for Hogan Lovells US LLP, and as a Research Analyst for MapLight, a government finance transparency organization. Amari enjoys exercising, spending time with her cat, and visiting her family.
