The Housing Endorsement Committee advances Bay Area Council leadership on housing issues by:

• Identifying housing projects that meet smart growth criteria and encouraging developers to adopt smart growth principles.
• Vetting and scoring projects according to those smart growth criteria.
  
• Endorsing projects that meet our criteria requirements.
  
• Lobbying for endorsed projects at the local government level.
  
• Lobbying for the adoption of smart growth principles within general plans at the local government level.
  
• Engaging member organizations to assist in the outreach efforts by participating in the lobbying efforts.
