In a globally competitive workplace, early education is no longer optional. The Committee intends to make the case to the larger business community, and to the citizenry of the State of California, that we can no longer allow children to enter school unprepared to learn and to succeed.

Current Priorities

The Early Childhood Education Committee has been working on producing a research report to support the business case for investment in early education. That report will assist in the Committee’s efforts to promote early education as an efficiency measure which helps to avoid potential costs of grade retention, special education, drop-outs, crime engagement, low skills, and low income levels. Significant amounts of quality research have shown its economic payoffs.
