The Bay Area Council was delighted to host its 77th Annual Dinner and Business Hall of Fame Awards presented by Kaiser Permanente on November 9 at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco. Every year, the event honors truly remarkable business and philanthropic leaders who both drive the region’s economy and make a difference in our communities.
The 2022 honorees were George Marcus, co-Founder and Chairman of Marcus & Millichap and co-Founder and Chairman of Essex Property Trust, and his wife Judy Marcus, co-Founder of the Marcus Family Foundation; Lloyd Dean, Chief Executive Emeritus and Founding Executive of CommonSpirit Health and CEO of Dignity Health (2000-2019); and legendary entrepreneur, publisher, and philanthropist Florence Fang.
In addition to celebrating great leaders, the Annual Dinner provided funding critical to supporting the public policy work the Bay Area Council does to make the Bay Area the most innovative, sustainable, inclusive and economically competitive region in the world.
