Bing leads key programs focused on identifying economic opportunities for our members consistent with one the Council’s lead priorities of growing China and California trade. Bing is responsible for implementing our members' vision of expanding into different regions and cities of the Chinese market, strengthening relationships with local government agencies and enterprise and NGO partners, and assisting local cities to develop Silicon Valley-type economic zones. Bing also produces conferences and events in both the Bay Area and China associated with the Council’s global initiatives work and serves as the point of communication among Bay Area partners and sister organizations in China.

Bing was born in Shanghai, educated in England and has worked in London, Hong Kong and the San Francisco Bay Area in media production and marketing. Her career spans from news producer for Reuters Television, news marketing for Dow Jones in Hong Kong, corporate marketing for China programs at Cisco System in San Jose.  She is also the founder and CEO of The Word International Inc (www.thewordinc.com) which is focused on cross-cultural PR and marketing. She is a founding member of Advocates for Chinese Education (ACE), which promotes cultural diversity and bilingualism in the Bay Area education system and policy sector. Bing holds a BA in English Literature and Media from the University of Sussex of UK, a Master (Professional Diploma) in Marketing from the London Institute of Marketing, and a creative writing diploma from UC Berkeley and London Institute of Linguists. Bing is a published author both in Chinese and English in poetry, short stories and a novella. She is strong believer and practitioner  in Innovation, Integration and Inter-disciplinary.
