Emily manages the Bay Area Council's Sacramento office, overseeing state policy and legislation and serving as one of the Bay Area Council's liaisons to the state Legislature and the Governor's Office.

She joined the Bay Area Council in 2009. Prior to joining the Bay Area Council, Emily worked as the Public Affairs Assistant at the CAYL Institute in Cambridge, MA, an organization providing early childhood education resources and training for elementary school principals. Emily has also held positions as the Communications Manager for the All-ages Movement Project, a national non-profit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for young people to participate in music and art, Receptionist at Harvard Business School and at the City of Seattle’s Mayor's Office of Film + Music, assisting with operations and policy research.

Emily, a Ralph J. Bunche Merit Scholar, graduated with highest honors from Northeastern University in Boston with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Emily was born and raised in Spokane, WA.
