Catherine Lyons is a native of Northern California (born in San Francisco and raised in Sacramento). She graduated with honors from the University of Southern California with degrees in print journalism and international relations. After serving on the editorial board for the Los Angeles Times, she moved to New Orleans to serve as an AmeriCorps member with a local nonprofit rebuilding organization. She is excited to be back in California and a part of the Bay Area Council team.
