Linda Galliher
Vice President, Education and Healthcare

Linda is responsible for the Bay Area Council’s public policy advocacy on a wide range of education and healthcare issues. Her work on Education includes Early Care and Preschool, K-12, Higher Education, and Workforce issues. In the Healthcare area, Linda has focused on legislation to reform healthcare access and financing with particular attention to cost controls, prevention, and consumer protections.
Linda’s policy work for the Council draws from a strong background in both of her areas of responsibility. She has worked as Assistant Division Counsel for a Bay Area technology company and, while an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager, developed an employer-based medical clinic and began a wellness program. Previously, she worked as a School Psychologist, assessing the strengths and weaknesses of individual students and educational programs, mentoring teachers, and counseling families.
Linda grew up in Illinois and attended University in Illinois, where she earned a Juris Doctorate and a M.A. in Labor and Employee Relations. She also has a Masters in School Psychology and a California Pupil Personnel Services Credential. Linda is certified personal trainer, a bicycling enthusiast, and a health food nut. She lives in and loves San Francisco.
